PRIVACY & LIMITATIONS

The playlist opens locally. Its URIs stay untouched.

Selected or pasted M3U8 data—including tags, segment or variant URIs, and audit results—is parsed on the current page by default. HLSInspect does not request media, child-playlist, or key URLs.

Structure preflight, not playback testing

The tool checks #EXTM3U, mixed Media/Master tags, duplicate VERSION, EXTINF or STREAM-INF pairing with URIs, positive BANDWIDTH, TARGETDURATION, and declared segment duration, then totals duration declared in the playlist. It does not parse every HLS tag or prove URL availability, authorization, codec compatibility, key security, atomic live updates, or continuous playback.

URIs can carry sensitive information

A playlist may contain private paths, signed query parameters, tokens, or key URIs. Process only files you are authorized to view, preferably on a trusted device. File selection begins only after your click; refreshing or closing discards inputs and results. The report studio and checkpoints read the visible summary, but that summary may include URIs—remove secret parameters before copying, downloading, or sharing.

Advertising and local preferences

This page uses Google AdSense Auto Ads. Google may use cookies or similar technologies under its policies. .miluland.com domain cookies sync language, theme, high contrast, a six-item recent-tools list, and up to 16 favorite tool IDs across MiluLand sites. These values never contain inputs, files, or results; the current site also keeps a local compatibility copy.

Local report studio

The report studio reads only the workbench’s currently visible result summary for local preview, Markdown copy, JSON download, printing, and a SHA-256 fingerprint. It never reads input controls or original files and is not persisted unless you choose to download it.

Optional local checkpoints

Only when you explicitly choose Save does the tool write the visible result summary, time, and optional short label to this site’s browser storage, up to five entries. Imported files and input-control contents are never stored; you can export, restore same-tool checkpoints, or clear them at any time. Imports are limited to 128KB and validate the tool, timestamp, summary, and label of up to 80 characters.
